What is a memoir?
The emphasis in a memoir is on a meaningful event in the writer’s life. The writer tells that unique story in order to understand and/or explain its significance. As Neil Gaiman observed, “The one thing you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision.”
Sometimes, though, simply starting a memoir is a real challenge. How can we bring our stories to life on that blank page? How can we see with fresh eyes the richness of our experience and shape the stories we want to tell?

With my experience as a writer, educator and coach, I can ask the kinds of questions that will help you create an evocative memoir that satisfies–and inspires further exploration.
